LEWCO Chain Driven Live Roller & Chain Transfer Loop

- Thursday, October 20, 2016

Recently LEWCO developed a process conveyor loop for a world class heavy equipment manufacturer.  Captive steel pallets used in the system are 42” square and up to 1200 lbs each.  Pallets are manually loaded via overhead gantry at one end, and automatically moved to staging and work zones along one side in zero-pressure fashion.  Once pallets reach the end, parts are removed, pallets transfer across and return empty down the other side to the loading zone.

LEWCO controls engineers worked with the customer and end user to design a user-friendly controls scheme, which was fully built, wired and tested in house at LEWCO.  2.5” rollers in structural steel frames ensure a robust long-lasting conveyor, and pop-up chain transfers running through the frames allow for a smooth product transfer across the ends.

LEWCO offers a quality product that is cost effective and built to the highest industry standards. Reduction in manual material handling, improved product flow, better ergonomics and elimination of shipping damage are just some of the benefits of this well-designed LEWCO conveyor system.

LEWCO has an extensive amount of experience designing and manufacturing Conveyor Equipment.
