LEWCO, Inc. designed and manufactured a dual level conveyor system handling fire nozzle assembly components for Task Force Tips (TFT) in Valparaiso, IN. The core of the conveyor system consists of LEWCO's new, state-of-the-art, 24-Volt DC conveyor technology. Using this green 24-Volt DC system results in a 93% energy savings over conventional belt driven live roller conveyors. Heavy loads up to 1500 lbs per zone are possible with this innovation. Plus, the motor is mounted on the outside of the conveyor frame, which allows for larger motors with higher torque ratings, resulting in greater load capacities. Also, with outside mounting, heat dissipation is much more effective which increases motor life.
