Dual Chamber Oven features Unique “Guillotine”-style Middle Door

LEWCO, Inc. has designed and manufactured a
dual-chambered, electrically heated, walk-in style oven that will be
used to heat large industrial rolls for holding paper. The oven was
requested by an East Coast manufacturer specializing in roll rebuilding
and recovering for the pulp, paper and converting industries.
This Walk-In Oven has an overall dimension of 134”
wide x 630” deep x 168” high, with a maximum operating temperature of
350 degrees F. The workspace depth is 610”, divided into two oven
chambers 305” each. The oven chambers are separated by a heavy duty,
insulated, guillotine-style door, specially designed to minimize heat
loss in the chambers. The two chambers are independently controlled by
one common control panel.
The dual chambered oven is constructed of welded 16
gauge aluminized steel interiors and 18 gauge aluminized exteriors with
4” mineral wool insulation. It was specified as a NFPA class B oven (no
flammable volatiles or combustible materials are present in the
customer’s process).
LEWCO, Inc.
designs and manufactures walk in ovens in our 165,000 square foot
facility with state of the art metal manufacturing equipment and a
complete engineering and skilled trade staff. In addition to Industrial
Process Oven equipment and 55-gallon drum heating equipment, LEWCO also
manufactures a complete line of pre-engineered conveyor equipment.
