(Sandusky, Ohio, May 23, 2007) - LEWCO, Inc., a leader in the development of advanced process heating technologies for military, aerospace and industrial applications, recently announced the manufacture of two vacuum composite curing ovens for the Department of Defense.

The ovens are to be installed during major construction at a West Coast air force base and used for repair and fabrication of C-17 aircraft parts and panels requiring the use of walk-in ovens and downdraft booths. The required workspace dimensions of the large oven are 120” wide x 126” deep x 96” high, the smaller oven is 72” wide x 110” deep x 96” high, and both ovens are designed with 500 degrees F operation. Both ovens feature dual airflow with top mounted heater boxes to conserve floor space. Each oven has programmable ramp/soak temperature controllers.

LEWCO vacuum composite ovens can be supplied in several configurations ranging from complete ready to use ovens which include all vacuum manifolds, vacuum pumps, thermocouples with thermocouple jack panels, resin traps, transducers and computerized controls, or just the oven with temperature controls and ports available for the customer to supply their own vacuum system and controls.
